Two men went ice fishing on a large lake. “You take that end and I’ll go up to this end and we can work toward each other. That way we can cover more of the lake.” So they split up and started fishing. A young lad came out on the lake. A little later he looked up the lake and saw one fisherman, he looked down the lake and saw one fisherman. Not seeing a group, he goes right between the two of them. He drills a hole and starts fishing, catching fish one after another. The two men notice the lad catching a lot of fish, so they move closer to him, but they don’t catch any fish. They move closer, still watching him closely to see his secret for catching fish. They still don’t have any. Finally, they have moved right next to him and still can’t catch any fish. One of the men says, “Tell me son, what is your secret to catching so many?” The lad replies, “Mummlmunm.” The man says, “Pardon me son, I didn’t quite get that. Could you say that again?” So the lad says, “Yomummlmnonn.” The man looks at his buddy and shrugs. “Did you get that?” His friend shakes his head no. The lad puts his hand up to his mouth and spits out a wad of worms and says, “You gotta keep your bait warm!”
