It’s time for the Walker’s annual open house extravaganza! Fun family activities throughout the building will get the entire family making, moving, and more.

Gallery admission is free for everyone on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to 5 pm, with a variety of family activities scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm.

Artist Demonstration with Todd Balthazor, 11 am–2 pm

Join local artist and Walker gallery assistant Todd Balthazor, who will be doodling the day away in the Cargill Lounge.

Gallery Activity, 10 am–3 pm

Explore the Walker in new ways as you wander with a new activity sheet designed and illustrated by Balthazor.

Art Activity: Mini Museum, 10 am–3 pm

Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab 

Curate your own gallery in this collaborative activity that has adults and kids rethinking the museum walls.

Gallery Experience, 10:30 am–2:30 pm

Round out your visit with tours and hands-on activities in the exhibitions Midnight Party and Cindy Sherman. Meet up with tour guides at different stations throughout the galleries.
