Dance Now: The White Cube

Join us at Bryant-Lake Bowl for an artist-focused panel about the growing trend of dance in museums and galleries.

For this panel discussion, Walker–commissioned dance artist Trajal Harrell (The Ghost of Montpellier Meets the Samurai; recent two-year artist-in-resident at the Museum of Modern Art, New York) will be joined by Twin Cities choreographers Morgan Thorson, Rosy Simas, and Super Group (Jeffrey Wells, Sam Johnson, and Erin Search-Wells). The artists will consider the opportunities and challenges associated with making gallery-based live performance, ways that it influences their approaches to making work, and how it affects their relationships with audiences. Moderated by Tricia Khutoretsky, director and curator of Public Functionary.

Admission and snacks are free. Doors open at 11:30 am.
