Art-Making: Character Building, 10 am–3 pm

Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab
Release your imagination to create your own fantastical character out of clay. Take your newly sculpted friend on an adventure by exploring the many worlds set up in the Art Lab.

Dance: Merce Cunningham’s Field Dances, 11:30 am, 1:30 and 4:30 pm

Cargill Lounge
As part of Walker’s landmark exhibition Merce Cunningham: Common Time, Field Dances will offer a unique view of dance through a piece that can include any number of dancers, last any length of time, and be shown in any space. As a bookend to Cunningham’s presentation during the 1988 opening of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Field Dances truly creates “Dances for Everyone.” Want to get involved? Join a workshop and participate in the 1:30 and 4:30 pm sets.
