2023 British Arrows Awards

With brilliant creativity, wry wit, and emotional twists and turns, the British Arrows Awards is a perennially entertaining Walker holiday tradition. Celebrating the latest creative trends in moving image advertising, this year’s program finds Daniel Craig sashaying through a swanky Parisian hotel, Miley Cyrus crowd-surfing at a Gucci party, and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) and John Boyega (Star Wars) doing awkward improv. Run time: 74 minutes

The British Arrows is a nonprofit organization started by the creative industry for the creative industry, and every year it celebrates the best in moving-image advertising in one of the oldest awards shows in the United Kingdom. The Walker Art Center’s involvement with the British Arrows started in 1986. After a screening of the British Arrows award-winning ad reels at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Walker’s curator at the time wanted to bring the show to Minneapolis. The involvement between the two organizations became a long-standing collaboration, which continues to run proudly today.
