As part of the Walker’s 75th anniversary we are releasing a variety of clips from the Walker’s archives.
This footage shows a dance performance that was performed at the Members’ Preview of “Lucio Fontana: The Spatial Concept of Art”, at the Walker Art Center in 1966. The dancers are seen here interacting with the staircase that was a prominent feature of the old Walker Art Gallery. The dance was conceived by: Joan Skinner, Richard Randell and Thomas Nee in homage to Lucio Fontana, whose spatial concept of art provided the inspiration for their joint production.
