The Walker offers on-site and virtual guided tours for groups interested in learning about contemporary art. In-person visits are limited to groups of up to 50 adults or students, but virtual tours can accommodate many more participants.

Tours for K–12 Students and Universities
The Walker offers interactive, learner-centered, and inquiry-based explorations of the galleries and/or the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. These tours are led by our professional museum educators and can be customized to focus on specific themes and exhibitions.

Adult & Senior Group Visits
Informative and engaging guided tours are available for groups of adults and seniors. Tours are one hour in length, can take place in the galleries or the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, and can be tailored to fit your group’s specific interests.

Public Tours
Looking to connect with contemporary art? A public tour at the Walker is a fun way to learn about the artworks on view, the ideas behind them, and the complex issues that they raise. Public tours are free and no advanced registration is required.

School Bus Fund
The Walker offers a limited number of bus fund scholarships to assist with transportation to and from the Walker and/or Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Selected schools will be awarded either full reimbursement for the cost of transportation (arranged by the school) or a free bus arranged by the Walker and provided by Lorenz Bus Service Inc.
