My earliest memory of the Walker was experiencing the 1986 exhibit “Tokyo: Form and Spirit” from a stroller. Early visits to museums undoubtedly helped me: I made it my life’s goal to work at a museum.
Lincoln is my dear cousin’s oldest child, and as soon as he was born I started begging her to let me bring him to a museum. This photo is from Lincoln’s first museum trip, on a perfect summer Free First Saturday. Two years later, he still tells stories about that day. Who knows, maybe 30 years from now he’ll still remember his first museum experience!
