Did you get to São Paulo for the Biennial this fall? Neither did most of us. Come see images from Brazil’s 2004 São Paulo Biennial and get an insider’s view of trends in contemporary art practice with Douglas Fogle, visual arts curator at the Walker Art Center. Fogle will also touch on the history and future of the biennial exhibition system around the globe.
is an ongoing series of dialogues, panels, and presentations featuring curators, artists, critics, scholars, and cultural producers discussing contemporary art and culture. The Walker Art Center, mnartists.org, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Weisman Art Museum have come together to sponsor this program because of their shared interest in supporting discourse about art and related subjects in a way that benefits local artists and encourages participation in the arts culture of Minnesota. Art Talk programs will be selected through input from artists. Who would you like to hear from? What do you want to talk about? To submit ideas for upcoming talks, e-mail email@example.com.
