Double Dare

They’ve been set on fire, thrown off buildings, and dragged by wild horses. As stunt doubles on Wonder Woman and Xena: Warrior Princess, Jeannie Epper and Zoë Bell are Hollywood’s anonymous heroines, taking the hits that turn actors into stars. Double Dare explores the lives of women at opposite ends of their careers: a grandmother struggling with the aging process and the dearth of roles for older females, and a brash young woman unaware of the feminist history that paved her way in this notoriously macho field. 2003, U.S., color, video, 81 minutes.

Preceded by Hand/Eye Coordination Directed by Naomi Uman

The film tells the story of its own making. 2002, U.S., color, 16mm, 10 minutes.
