As an artist, are you leveraging technology to the fullest? Join a panel of experts as they discuss ways that the electronic media is being used to support, create, and advance artists and the arts. With Tammy Hauser, interim director of Springboard for the Arts; Mary Madden, research specialist with the Pew Internet & American Life Project; Jesse Hemminger and Kevan Nitzberg, artists using digital technology in their art and the classroom; and Kathleen Kvern, project director of mnartists.org.
Art Talk
is an ongoing series of dialogues, panels, and presentations featuring curators, artists, critics, scholars, and cultural producers discussing contemporary art and culture. The Walker Art Center, mnartists.org, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Weisman Art Museum have come together to sponsor this program because of their shared interest in supporting discourse about art and related subjects in a way that benefits local artists and encourages participation in the arts culture of Minnesota. Art Talk programs will be selected through input from artists. Who would you like to hear from? What do you want to talk about? To submit ideas for upcoming talks, e-mail info@mnartists.org.
