New Zealand native Olive Bieringa and Minneapolis’ own Otto Ramstad are codirectors of the Body Cartography Project, a dance collective that has performed at hundreds of sites ranging from the scorching Nevada desert to the mountain peaks of New Zealand. The group’s performances make use of video to document relationships between the dancers’ bodies and the environment. Here’s your chance to work with Bieringa and Ramstad on a dance-video exploration of camera and subject, creating movement that could not be accomplished without the use of technology. Use your own body to set skateboards, bikes, cars, dollies, and swing sets in motion with “camera choreography.” Limited to 10 participants. To register, call 612.375.5812 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
