Artist Rirkrit Tiravanija’s “demo station” in the exhibition OPEN-ENDED (the art of engagement) and the Walker’s Cinema go tropical with an exciting compilation of experimental videos and films from Thailand and Southeast Asia, Japan, Europe, and the United States. The 4th Bangkok Experimental Film Festival (BEFF4) is an eclectic program of artist videos, experimental films, and works memorializing the 2005 tsunami disaster. BEFF is organized by Project 304, a Bangkok-based nonprofit art space founded by an eclectic group of artists, curators, and filmmakers, including Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the subject of a 2004 Regis Dialogue and Film Retrospective at the Walker. This presentation is an abridged edition of the 2005 program.
