An Evening with Francis Ford Coppola

Thirty years ago, Francis Ford Coppola went into the jungles of the Philippines and came back with the legendary Apocalypse Now and the searing documentary Hearts of Darkness. Youth Without Youth is his first directing foray in a decade. Shot in Romania, the film is slated for release by Sony Pictures Classic in fall 2007. The illuminating documentary CODA: Thirty Years Later, shot during the making of Youth Without Youth, is a personal exploration of Coppola’s inspirations and obstacles in which he shares his thoughts on filmmaking, creativity, and the nature of consciousness. Following the one-hour screening of CODA, Coppola will be present for a Q & A session. Program length: 2 hours.
