It’s summer solstice, so take advantage of the daylight as Rock the Garden celebrates the biggest birthday party of the season—the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden turns 20! Singer-songwriter Andrew Bird and band top a bill that also features Canadian indie rock supergroup the New Pornographers and the eco-conscious Twin Cities favorite, Cloud Cult. Opening is Bon Iver, a soulful lo-fi folk artist from northwest Wisconsin.
This all-ages, rain-or-shine street party also includes live broadcasts from DJs of 89.3 The Current and more than 40 works of art in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Enjoy an array of food and refreshments for sale, including crepes from Vincent, fresh selections from Chipotle, and beer from Summit Brewing Company.
Chipotle will donate 100% of its Rock the Garden sales to the Walker Art Center and 89.3 The Current to support Rock the Garden.
Rock the Garden is proud to be a zero waste event, in partnership with Eureka Recycling.
