Contemporary Journeys

Contemporary Journeys is the Walker’s program for people with early- to mid-stage Alzheimer’s and other dementias and their care partners, family members, and friends. Contemporary Journeys offers guided tours of the Walker’s exhibitions and hands-on art-making in the Walker’s Art Lab. Staff and volunteers involved in this program are specially trained to create a safe, social, and creative environment for engaging with art.

You’re welcome to schedule your own experience on a day that works best for you, but we are also offering two pre-scheduled tours this month and one pre-scheduled art lab in May. If you’re interested in coming to the Walker for a morning of art and being with people who are navigating terrain similar to yours, please consider RSVPing for one of the programs below.
