Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon

Wikipedia’s gender trouble is well documented. With the lack of female participation, content is skewed and notable women in art and history are largely underrepresented.

Join us for an Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon—an afternoon of communal Wikipedia editing related to contemporary art and feminism. Bring your laptop and ideas for entries to create or improve. Editors of all genders, ages, and abilities are welcome, though female editors are particularly encouraged to attend.

No Wikipedia editing experience necessary: we will provide tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian as well as research assistance, reference materials, free Wi-Fi, and refreshments. You can prep yourself by checking out this tutorial.

No laptop? A limited number of computers will be available in the Walker Art Center library. No ideas? Consult our suggested list of artists and topics, also available in the library.

RSVP to the Art + Feminism Wikipedia Facebook event or register on our Wikipedia meetup page.
