The world’s leading expert on the life and work of the acclaimed Ousmane Sembene, Samba Gadjigo integrates more than 100 hours of exclusive material and rare archival footage into this explosive and intriguing documentary. The self-taught Sembene influenced generations of filmmakers over the course of his 50-year career by using cinema to tell essential African stories to Africans. Official selection of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival.
