The Walker has maintained a nationally recognized performing arts commissioning program for more than 40 years. This season alone, nine co-commissioned works will be presented, including dances by Bessie Award–winning choreographers Pavel Zuštiak and the Twin Cities’ own Karen Sherman. Join Zuštiak, Sherman, and Walker performing arts curator Philip Bither for a behind-the-scenes look at the production of new performance works and the special relationship between commissioned artists and the host institution.

Session attendees are eligible for two free tickets to Zuštiak’s Custodians of Beauty (October 20–22) and Sherman’s Soft Goods (December 8–10).
