Free First Saturday: Wintertime Escape

Start off the New Year with good vibes and warm thoughts as you dance, create, and learn. Gallery admission is free for everyone on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to 5 pm, with a variety of family activities scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm.

Art-Making: Botanical Garden, 10 am–3 pm

Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab
Reflect on the environment as you create a mini, living ecosystem to take home and nurture.

Performance: Young Americans (a mini Transmission for the minis in your life), 11 am–2 pm

Walker Cinema
Local DJ Jake Rudh presents a new twist on his weekly Minneapolis-based post-punk, new wave, and indie dance show Transmission. Come show off your moves, dance under music videos on the big screen, and even join in a workshop as kids and families take over the Walker Cinema for an all-day dance party.

Orientation Lounge
