Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Grand Reopening

Join us on June 10 to celebrate the reopening of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Free guided tours, art-making activities, food trucks, DJs, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, and giveaways including Walker swap and free tree seedlings (while supplies last) from the Park Board will be offered throughout the day.


Event Highlights

Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, 12 noon

Near Spoonbridge and Cherry
Join the Walker and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board for the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden’s official opening.


Garden Tours, 10 am–5 pm

Guided tours begin every 30 minutes at the Visitor Info Cart near Spoonbridge and Cherry.


Music: DJ Los Boogie & DJ Micamay, 11 am–6 pm

Vineland Place


Music: DJ Frank Lyon, 3–6 pm

Garden Terrace Room
Get together on the terrace for music, food, and drinks from the pop-up bar.


Art-Making: Mix Up, 10 am–6 pm

Tent on Vineland Place
Use stencils to design a garden with artist Carolyn Swiszsz. Fun for all ages!


Minneapolis Park Board Garden Party, 10 am–6 pm

Dig into fun with Park Board naturalists! Enjoy crafts, button-making, tattoos, face-painting, free maps, and more.


Activity: Extrapolation Factory, 10 am–5 pm

Learn about the natural habitats in the Garden and discover how you can help protect those spaces with Extrapolation Factory.
