A psychological thriller that goes beyond the genre’s typical mind-swirled action, Remainder tells the story of a London man’s attempt to reconstruct his identity after he is hit by an unidentified object. An adaptation of Tom McCarthy’s 2005 novel of the same title, Remainder is director Omer Fast’s first feature-length film. 2015, DCP, 103 minutes.

Introduced by Yasufumi Nakamori, photography and new media curator, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and Sheryl Mousley, moving image senior curator, Walker Art Center.

The Walker Art Center’s program Filmmaker in Conversation: Omer Fast is copresented with the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) in conjunction with their exhibition New Pictures: Omer Fast, Appendix, which includes an artist talk at Mia on Saturday, September 23 at 2 pm.
