Visionary maximalist composer Anna Meredith makes her Twin Cities debut with an evening of her “striking and smart” (Guardian, UK) electroacoustic music performed by her band (clarinet, two cellos, electric guitar, tuba, drums, and electronics). Meredith’s works have been commissioned by top orchestras and chamber ensembles around the world, but her debut album, Varmints (2016), mixes and mashes classical, electronic pop, and indie rock into compositional experiments like few before her. Prepare to be delightfully overwhelmed.
