Terrace 3
Nadine is a collaborative project between Nadia Hulett (Phantom Posse), Carlos Hernandez and Julian Fader (both of Ava Luna), and Dan Dukich. Polyphonic melodies and instrumental layers take generous flourishes and unexpected turns with an ear to the wondrous and occasionally weird, crafting jazz-tinged lounge-pop all held together by Hulett’s characteristic vocals.
Music: City Counselor
7:30 pm
Garden Terrace Room
City Counselor is a Minneapolis-based band featuring Amy Hager (voice and synths), Nicky Steves (voice and synths), Antoine Martineau (bass guitar), and Jared Hemming (drums). They released their self-recorded debut of politically-fatigued, danceable pop jams in January 2017.
Music: Hello Psychaleppo
8:30 pm
Terrace 3
Hello Psychaleppo (Samer Saem Eldahr) hails from one of the most musically rich cities in the Middle East and his music is deeply rooted in traditional styles. He uses the melodies of Arab Bedouins and the ecstatic strains of the Tarab, and threads it all through structures made from dubstep, drum and bass, electro, and trip-hop.
