Free First Saturday: Snowshoes and Fun!

Please note outdoor activities are canceled due to weather, but families can still enjoy activities online or reserve free gallery admission tickets here.

Please note: Masks are required both indoors and outdoors. There is a touchless water bottle filling station available at the museum, so be sure to bring a water bottle.

Have you been spending too much time indoors this winter? Bring the whole family to the Walker this February for some physically distant outdoor fun.

See the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden like never before: on snowshoes! Self-guided scavenger hunts will be available, you can grab a sled or saucer and fly down the hill, or create your own snow castle.

Snowshoes will be available to check out from the outdoor patio on Vineland Place every 15 minutes for free 30-minute exploration sessions courtesy of the University of Minnesota Center for Outdoor Adventure. Quantities and sizes are limited; available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free First Saturdays feature free gallery admission on the first Saturday of every month. Please note, free tickets for gallery admission are available; they must be reserved separately. Click here to reserve your free tickets.
