Virtual Inside Looks: Conservation

Conservation work on Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen's Spoonbridge and Cherry (1985—1988). Photo: Joe King, Walker Art Center.

Have you ever wondered how a giant cherry survives Minnesota winters? What about the installation process for a blue rooster that stands over 25 feet tall? Learn about these works and more at Inside Looks, a virtual member event which brings you behind the scenes of the Walker. Senior Registrar Joe King will share insights and anecdotes from his 25 years spent caring for works in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Members are invited to ask questions throughout King’s presentation, mingle with each other in the chat box, and find out more about the institution they love.
