“It’s one of the few genuine-sounding, full-scope amalgams of contemporary hip-hop and jazz to surface in recent years.” —New York Times
Heralded as a harbinger of change, Kassa Overall is a musician, singer, producer, drummer, and a revered product of New York’s jazz scene who melds avant-garde experimentation with hip-hop production techniques to explore unmapped musical directions. Overall’s panoramic musical background, from West Coast G-Funk to the sounds of the New York underground, is rigorously investigative but always in the tradition of his mentors, the late Elvin Jones and Billy Hart. Catch the Twin Cities debut of “one of modern jazz music’s most audacious futurists” (Pitchfork).

Attendance Requirements
Visit the Cedar’s attendance policies page for more information.
While recommended, masks are not currently required for fully vaccinated individuals by the state, county, or the city in privately owned buildings. As of now, our policy is to leave the decision of whether to wear a mask to our fully vaccinated patrons. We will adhere to any formal mask mandate enacted by the state, county, or the city. We continue to require mask wearing for those who are unvaccinated as this is consistent with current recommendations for indoor spaces.
The Cedar Cultural Center will require either proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination regimen or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (taken 72 hours prior) for any person to enter any events held at the Cedar (must match the ticket holder’s ID).
Unvaccinated children under age 12 may show a negative COVID-19 test as outlined above.
Refunds: Any ticket holder not meeting the above requirement(s) is eligible for a refund.
