Open House: Memphis Group

Join curator Asli Altay for a free, drop-in exploration of the work of the iconic Memphis group in Idea House 3, the collectible design store at the Walker. Founded in 1980 by Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass, this group of young designers and architects introduced a colorful and bold aesthetic that became synonymous with the 1980s. Stop by throughout the afternoon to experience original works by the Memphis group, chat with the curator, and maybe even bring home one of these iconic design pieces.
