Art Club: Gallery Sketching

Free Thursday Nigh, 2020. Photo by Carina Lofgren. Courtesy Walker Art Center.

Bring your sketchbook into the galleries. We’ll explore the exhibition Stanley Whitney: How High the Moon and spread out in the space for an evening of communal drawing and sketching. Instructions for simple activities will be available.

Pencils and colored pencils are the only materials allowed inside the gallery. Capacity is 20 participants, with stools and drawing horses available. Additional drawing/art-making space will be in the adjacent Cargill Lounge. Materials are provided and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis; supplies are limited. No prior registration is required for Art Club. The more you visit, the more you’ll discover!

This program is part of Free Thursday Nights. Admission is free from 5 to 9 pm, and special programming takes place throughout the museum.
