Bios
Sophie Warrick’s (she/her) art is focused on the various ways we can document and share joy about the simple things in life. Warrick began making bingo cards in 2022 as a way to visualize personal goals and accomplishments, blending tasks that needed to be done with activities to explore. What started as a solo practice quickly grew into a shared experience with friends. Now a monthly tradition, these gatherings have expanded into a growing community where people come together to create, reflect, and set intentions.
Chiaki O’Brien is a Saori weaving artist/teaching artist, a Bengala dye artist/teaching artist, and a Taiko performer/instructor. These creative practices have allowed her to connect with many communities, and she teaches people of all ages and abilities. Moving here just over a decade ago from Japan, O’Brien started planting Saori weaving seeds in Minnesota and the Midwest, while also planting “roots for myself.” Her teaching experience also includes working at a Montessori preschool.
