Shamel Pitts and multidisciplinary arts collective TRIBE present the world premiere of the Walker and Northrop Centennial Commission Marks of RED, an Afrofuturistic meditation on the “womb space.” Pitts and TRIBE as collaborators explore perceived spaces of regeneration, enfoldment, implosion, rupture, and potential. This next chapter in the RED series delves into the deep complexity of self-expression and shared human experiences, continuing Pitts’s research to share the vibrancy of blackness.
