Rose Salane

1992–Present

(b. 1992, New York) lives and works in New York. Her work has been the subject of institutional solo exhibitions at TANK, Shanghai (2024); Hessel Museum of Art, Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, Annandale- on-Hudson, NY (2021); and MIT List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge, MA (2019). Her work has been included in group exhibitions at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), North Adams (2023); and Renaissance Society, University of Chicago (2022), among others. She participated in the 2022 Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the 2021 Triennial, New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, CA; the Whitney Museum of American Art; and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. She holds a BFA in fine arts from Cooper Union, New York, and an MA in urban planning from the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, City University of New York.
