Acoustic Campfire: Cardboard Dreams

This week we’re happy to bring you the musical stylings of Cardboard Dreams at Thursday night’s Acoustic Campfire on Walker Open Field! Take a break after participating in Rolu’s Making-As-Thinking activities and wandering the Walker galleries (for free, thank you Target Free Thursday Nights) to wind down with some live music starting at 8pm.

Cardboard Dreams’s music fits into a box that contains the musty smell of old sheet music, a couple of scratched dixieland albums that your grandpa couldn’t bear to part with, tickets to a staging of “Don Giovanni” from 1996, an unopened Pat Matheny CD, and a secondhand game of Scrabble. they welcome all to their fun and strange world and promise to serenade you with three-part harmonies, a squeeze box, an over-sized mandolin and a big fiddle…

Kevin Rowe, Nathan Eliot and Steven Hobert make up this trio of songwriters who focus on eating good food, enjoying the company of others, discovering hitherto undiscovered paths, and of course making music.
