Aaron Marx

Aaron Marx is an artist and architectural designer specializing in new media (video, projection, and digital fabrication), interactive installation, and socially engaged art. Taking various forms, his work examines the relationship between memory and the built environment, considers the role of temporal art in public space, and investigates new forms of interaction between people and digital tools. These works include: data visualizations mapping the death toll of war, interactive light installations tracking objects in space, the exploration of sacred space, and inspiring the community to dream through participatory activity. He is a member of Minneapolis Art on Wheels (MAW), MAKESH!T, and Public Art Saint Paul's City Art Collaboratory. Most recently, Aaron has exhibited work as an Art(ist) on the Verge fellow, participated in the Walker Art Center's artist-designed mini golf, and developed site specific interactive installations for Northern Spark.
