Benjamin Benne

Benjamin Benne is a playwright and theater artist currently residing in Minneapolis by way of Seattle and Los Angeles. He is a 2017-18 McKnight Fellow in Playwriting at The Playwrights' Center and was previously the national recipient of a 2016-17 Many Voices Fellowship as an emerging playwright of color. He is the winner of a 2017 Robert Chesley/Victor Bumbalo Playwriting Award, runner-up for the 2017 National Latino Playwriting Award, finalist for the Princess Grace Award, finalist for the Ingram New Works Lab, and a semifinalist for the Blue Ink Playwriting Award. His work has been presented by The Playwrights' Center, Pillsbury House Theatre, The Lark's Playwrights' Week, Two River Theater, Seattle Repertory Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre, Annex Theatre, and Forward Flux, among others.
