Mary Coyne

Mary Coyne is the Exhibition Curatorial Assistant for Merce Cunningham: Common Time. She formerly was the the Cunningham Research Fellow from 2014-2016 at the Walker Art Center and held positions as a graduate intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (2012), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, (2012), Los Angeles MOCA (2011). In 2014 she curated and organized programs at Pseudo Empire, a non-commercial art space in Brooklyn and has developed curatorial projects in Los Angeles, New York and Minneapolis. Her writing has appeared in AfterImage, Artpulse, Droste Effect, the Journal for Curatorial Studies, and Museum and Curatorial Studies Review, among other publications. Mary holds a MA in Art (Curatorial Studies) from California State University, Long Beach and a BA in Art History from the University of Southern California.
