Peter Boswell

Peter Boswell was on the curatorial staff of the Walker Art Center (1986 to 1996), where he curated exhibitions of art by Mel Chin (1990), Ann Hamilton/David Ireland (1992, with Elizabeth Armstrong), Krzyzstof Wodizcko (1992), Hannah Höch (1996, with Maria Makela), and Bruce Conner (1999, with Bruce Jenkins and Joan Rothfuss), among others. After leaving the Walker, he served as Heiskell Arts Director at the American Academy in Rome from 1996 to 1999 and Assistant Director for Programs/Senior Curator at the Miami Art Museum from 1999 to 2012. Since 2012 he has been an independent curator and essayist. He has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in Art History from Stanford University.
