Todd Menton

Todd Menton is the lead singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist for Boiled in Lead, a band renowned for their folk-punk innovation and raucous live shows. Todd joined the band in 1985, toured and recorded with them until 1992, then left pursue a solo career that included festivals, pubs, and clubs. He released his first New Folk Records CD Punts in 2002, followed by Where Will You Land in 2003 and The Dolmen Field in 2008. Todd rejoined Boiled in Lead in 2005, and contributed songs and tunes to the band’s latest releases Silver and The Well Below. His most recent solo CD, Rosie In the Stars, was released in September 2015. In addition to performing, Todd teaches bodhran, mandolin, and pub singing at The Center for Irish Music in St. Paul. In May 2012, the audience of the Bill Moyers program Moyers and Company included Todd’s song “Brave Bombardier,” from the 1990 Boiled in Lead album Orb, on its Viewer’s Protest Song Playlist.
