Family Supporting Families: KHR Family Fund
Thanks to incredibly generous support from the KHR Family Fund, the Walker was able to present the wildly successful exhibition Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody last summer. The fund is an initiative of Kevin and Rosemary McNeely and their daughter Hannah Rose, who traveled from California and New York to see that exhibition and spend time at the Walker. In addition to support for the Haring exhibition, the
KHR Family Fund is helping to underwrite family programs organized by the Walker’s Public Engagement, Learning & Impact department. Thanks to the fund, the Walker has been able to offer playful, unexpected, and participatory experiences for family audiences while prioritizing accessibility.
“Rosemary, Hannah Rose, and I are so pleased to be able to support the great work being done by the Walker,” Kevin McNeely said. “It’s a special institution, and the KHR Family Fund is delighted to be able to play a small role in helping to support its mission.”
“The joy that accompanies the KHR Family Fund’s grantmaking is both energizing and infectious to grantees like the Walker,” said Mary Ceruti, Walker Art Center executive director. “They bring curiosity, delight, and a deep love for the arts that help institutions like ours better serve the artists and audiences at the core of our mission.” Adds Ceruti,
“Kevin, Rosemary, and Hannah Rose are the kinds of philanthropists that nonprofit organizations dream of: thoughtful, compassionate, and a whole lot of fun!”
