Forsythe Study Group

5392600.jpgTo celebrate the return of Twin Cities native Dana Caspersen, who performs along with company members of the Forsythe Company in Chamber Works March 15 and 16, Sally Rousse of the James Sewell Ballet has invited local dance enthusiasts to read up and talk about the work of William Forsythe during the Walker’s related activities and performances. Think of the next few posts as part digital notebook, part study group as these guest bloggers offer views, musings, and notes on a revolutionary choreographer:

Penelope Freeh is a thirteen-year member of the James Sewell Ballet. She is an independent choreographer, and publishes her thoughts on dance at: Barefootblogger.

Robert Haarmon dances with various groups in Minneapolis including Live Action Set, Flying Foot Forum, and Mathew Janczewski’s ARENA Dances.

Lightsey Darst is a dance critic and poet. This year she was awarded an NEA Fellowship for Literature. Her dance writing appears in MPLS.ST.PAUL Magazine and mnartists.org.
