Join us for Free First Saturday (Gallery admission is free from 10 am – 5 pm) and step into a realm of art-related fantasy. From 10 am – 3 pm journey on a quest through the Sculpture Garden and Open Field and meet mythical heroes and foes while participating (if you so choose) in challenges in each quadrant! So get ready to make a costume, grab a map, and set forth on your epic adventure!
This blog series will profile some of the many mythical characters you may encounter on this exciting quest, and also give a little background about the real folks playing each magical persona.

GARDEN QUEST CHARACTER PROFILE:
ART DEALER
Name: PicklePus
Race: We are all ONE under the sphere of the Universe, man.
Class: Mystic/Dealer of Art
Level/Ability: Power is overrated
Special Powers: Not that I have power, but I totally know what is going on, what the trends are and can see the aura of what is awesome. A real trend setter if it were. Yes, I Deal in Art because everyone needs to make a living man, but I am not the man, man. Dig?
Gear: Staff of clarity and mystic vision. You looking for a miracle?
Description of Garden Quest Activity: I have been on the quest longer than most, and the answers are there, but there is NO answer… so that is the quest, to find answers to questions that have no answers, or is it to find the questions to the answers that have no questions, or…, crude, I am confused again….
About the Player, Erik Ullanderson
PicklePus is. He has been, will be, and is. He is always looking for a miracle. He loves most all Art and is particularly found of pet portraits. He tends to vote socialist, but sometimes forgets to vote, which is a protest of its own kind, dig? He hangs with many of the artists involved in this Quest, but only when he can get away from all the amazing things going on in his gallery and head. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he thinks, but he also talks a lot about being successful in business which everyone who knows him says is out of the realm of possibility since he is such a freaking peacenik. He thinks corporations should not be treated like people, but he thinks his shoe has feelings. He would be a Professor if it were not for all the rules, man. He is vegetarian when he remembers. Some people call him Erik Ullanderson. This only confuses him so avoid it if at all possible.
