What do you love about the Walker?

The bright open spaces and exploring the galleries room by room, piece by piece, and the Shop is a personal favorite for gifts. Also, lighthearted events—like the Internet Cat Video Festival—are a blast; it’s fun to see the Walker not take itself too seriously.

What’s your favorite Walker memory?

The gasps of the newest member of our family, Nina, at just a few weeks, in front of Claes Oldenburg’s Giant Fan. It was such an impressive piece that even she appreciated its grandeur.

How have you used your friend-level recriprocal benefits?

This is one of our favorite parts of membership. In one year, we have visited other museums for free in Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC, and New York. It paid for itself after just two trips to the MFA Boston. It also gives us the freedom to check out the Walker anytime, without feeling pressured to see everything in one visit.

What do you do when you are not at the Walker?

When we are not busy with medical school, we walk around the lakes, bike around the Twin Cities, cook vegan food, and enjoy dinner and conversation with good friends.
