“A lot of artists together… there’s no telling what you can come up with.” For three months, youth working through the Minneapolis-based youth groups Kulture Klub Collaborative (KKC) and the Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council (WACTAC) joined forces to create art around themes of social justice, equality, mind states, values, and emotion. With guidance from artists Sarah White, Mychal Fisher (aka MMYYKK), and Chaka Mkali (aka I Self Devine), participants collaborated to create original pieces of music, visual art, writing, and choreography—all while learning about each other’s lives, passions, and interests. This mini-documentary captures the project in process, and its culmination April 27, 2017 at the Walker’s annual Teen Takeover.
