Legacy Circle: Supporting Future Leaders
Walker Legacy Circle member Alan Olson is a life-long learner. You may often find Olson at the Walker, soaking in a performance, visiting a new exhibition, or finding solace by venturing into James Turrell’s Sky Pesher (2005).”
Over the years, Olson has enjoyed viewing exhibitions like Jim Hodges: Give More Than You Take (2014) and experiencing performances like the Out There series. One of Olson’s favorite memories is participating in the Walker presen- tation of 600 Highwaymen’s A THOUSAND WAYS (2021), which he found to be a powerful and moving experience.
Through these many moments, the Walker has fostered Olson’s creativity and supported his ongoing learning journey. When the time came to update his estate plans, Olson decided to include the Walker as a beneficiary. He knew this meaningful gesture would allow future generations to experience the art of their time, broaden their experiences, and find community at the Walker.
