Part of Memories from the Year 2030
Memories From the Year 2030 is a collection of fictional letters, memos and visual artifacts created by a group of futurists, speculative designers, authors and artists. Read the entire series here.

Arlo Ardern (2012) loves to draw things he imagines using a black pen, and sometimes colour. In the 2020 lockdown, he spent most days drawing everything he could imagine: solar airplanes, supersonic rockets, underground cities and fictional birds. When he runs out of ideas he plays with legos and reads comics. Contribution courtesy of Arlo’s parents, Anab Jain and Jon Ardern, founders of the speculative design studio Superflux.
