Ragamala Dance’s directors Aparna Ramaswamy and Ranee Ramaswamy collaborated with jazz saxophonist/composer Rudresh Manhanthappa on Song of the Jasmine, an inspired new work that freely moves between past and present, composition and improvisation, music and dance. The artists join Philip Bither, McGuire Senior Curator of Performing Arts, to discuss the world premiere of the piece, co-commissioned by the Walker Art Center.
