Scaffold Update: Wood Structure Fully Dismantled

A joint update from the Walker and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board:

As of Monday, June 5, 2017, the wood structure from Sam Durant’s Scaffold is dismantled and in the process of being removed from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. It will be safely stored by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board in a secure off-site location. At this time there is no final decision about the destruction or repurposing of the wood. The resolution will be determined by the broader Dakota community. No timetable has been set.

Artistic rights are in process of being legally transferred from the artist and Walker Art Center to the Dakota community.
