As the world stayed home this spring and summer, the Walker quickly adapted to provide our community with a wide variety of digital resources. We are offering teachers and families free online educational assets, art activities, and virtual programs for children. We also continue experimenting with new ways to engage art lovers through online films, tours, and events, conversations with curators, and articles by artists and creative makers. To deliver this programming, the Walker is relying on digital connectivity more than ever. We simply could not achieve such seamless and robust access to these resources without the help and support of Atomic Data.

Atomic Data—Minnesota’s on-demand, always on, “IT as a Service” provider—has joined forces with the Walker to help us modernize infrastructure, execute cutting-edge initiatives, and better serve our tech-centric attendees. The partnership expands upon the successful collaboration with the Walker and 89.3 The Current during Rock the Garden 2019, where Atomic Data deployed free Wi-Fi throughout the festival.

“The Walker is one of Minnesota’s most treasured institutions,” says Atomic Data CEO Jim Wolford, “We are excited to continue to work with Walker IT staff on a variety of technology projects intended to propel the Walker’s technological capabilities forward and better engage audiences and artists.”

The Walker is delighted to welcome Atomic Data as the institution’s first Technology Partner. “We are immensely grateful for Atomic Data’s generous support and excited for the opportunities that this new partnership will create,” says Walker Executive Director Mary Ceruti. “We share a commitment to innovation and championing the new. Atomic Data will be an essential partner, advancing the Walker’s technology and supporting our mission as a multidisciplinary art center and catalyst for the creative expression of artists and the active engagement of audiences.
