Watch: Nairy Baghramian: Déformation Professionnelle

Over the past two decades, Nairy Baghramian has created sculptures, photographic works, and drawings that explore relationships between architecture, everyday objects, and the human body. Her works—on view in the exhibition Nairy Baghramian: Déformation Professionnelle and on the Walker’s Wurtele Upper Garden—mark boundaries, transitions, and gaps in the museum, prompting us to consider form and meaning in the context of interior and exterior spaces. Drawing on references from dance and theater to design and fashion, her work questions and challenges the definition of sculpture. In this new trailer, view the exhibition and her new Walker-commissioned sculptural trio, Privileged Points (2017), on the Walker hillside.
