Located above Lake of the Isles is the striking modern residence of Kenneth and Julia Dayton. Designed by VJAA of Minneapolis and situated on a landscape designed by George Hargraves of Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Dayton Residence brings together a sophisticated interplay of interior and exterior connections and the couple’s collection of modern art, which is on view both inside and outside the home. Louvered scrim panels and large glazed openings allow the main living space to be an open pavilion or a dappled-light sanctuary, while a refined palette of materials and finishes and exquisite craftsmanship create an understated elegance.
